Unlike the U.S mexico has a very strict and heavely inforced imigration policy for going into mexico if you try to sneak in the most likely scenerio is you will be thrown into prison for no less than two years ( average life expectancy for a non american in a mexican prison is 1.6 years). once out you will be deported back to the U.S.
and believe it or not thats the scenerio if your lucky. If you unlucky you might end up in a small local jail where you will either be neglected, beaten, forced to contact relitives to send money for your release wich will probly never take place and if you are released theres a good chance you will be released to slave traders where you will begin a slow tortured labor untill you either die from illness, torture or just be killed because your of no value anymore. And this is what happens if your a male I won't go into detail what happens if your a female I'm sure you get the picture.

Better take lots of money so that you can bribe the cops. The only people that go down there for a new life is bank robbers, they can because they have a crap load of money. If you really want a new life, go into the French Foreign Legion. You serve a term of 7 years, then they will give you papers to live in any country in the world, and they pay the equivalent of $700,000 per year, boot camp is two years long. Good luck!

I haven't personally verified this, but someone posted a question recently that I thought concerned details of the new US immigration policy, but turned out to be current Mexican government requirements of those seeking citizenship and penalties for not going the legal route. They included (but this is by no means the entire list):
Fluent in the language (speech and written)
No criminal record
Know you could never hold office
Pay taxes
If found entered illegally, mandatory jail time,

I agree with laughoutloud I'd be one American who would like to try I've lived here all my life I'm a true American and saddened at the state the people here on yahoo answers would have the world believe Americans were actually like. I'm grateful that I don't have people around me or my children like the people on here.

Try and find out.
But Mexico doesn't offer much anyway-unbearably hot , low salaries, uneducated people...
I don't thing it's dangerous going to Mexico-a lot of Latinamericans do it every day. And come to the US...

You would be shot at by your minute men and cross 3 days of desert with no water with your kids in tow and be cleaning toilets and raising some one elses kids for 1 dollar a day. Enjoy your new life!

Not much. Mexico currently has a problem keeping people...don't think they'd complain to much about getting a few.
