I say he was. Who's with me?

Absolutely not. And the evidence is in the Bible.

Read of the gifts brought to him. Read about the position of the stars in the Heavens. It is most likely that Jesus was born around mid year - June to July.

The reason that Dec 25 is used is for a few reasons...for one, this was the birthdate of Mithras, an ancient diety who was born of a virgin and died and was burried in a rrock cave where he was later ressureceted after three days. It was also the time that the winter solstice was celebrated. So the chuirch stole the date so as to make their religion more attractive to the sheeep they were attracting.

I see it is still working....

December 25th was a pagan holiday. Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas for that reason.

It was probably in the springtime since the shepherds were out watching their flocks at night.

It was close to the passover which falls between March 15-April 30. The passover was the birth of the Jewish nation so it also seems syumbolic that it was the Birth of the Lord and Savior.

An April date would also match well with tax collection times, the reason that Joseph and Mary had to return to Bethlehem.

No. In Luke chap. 2, verse 8 - The shepherd were outside watching their flocks at night. These shepherds in v. 16 saids they hurried off to Bethlehem and found Jesus and Mary/Joseph in the manger. 2,000 years ago, in December, Israel was in a cool, rainy season. It is unlikely shepherd would be outside all night watching the herds. Besides, the kings that presented their gifts did not present them to Jesus in the manger, the shepherds visited Jesus in the manger, the kings visited Mary/Jesus + Joseph months later while they resided in a house! Look at verse 11 of Matthew chap. 2 - " On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense, and of myrrh. Dec. 25th, is the winter solstice, it was a time of year that pagan's celebrated for the return of the sun. So, when was Jesus born? No one know's for sure, but it has been said possibly in September or October - a warmer time for shepherd to stay outside. The climate 2,000 years ago was much different than today. Like I said Dec in Israel then was a cool, rainy season. And about the 3 kings. There weren't 3 of them, the bible doesn't say specificly how many there were, people assume that since 3 gifts were given: gold, incense and myrrh, and these being expensive gifts that only a king could afford, that there should be 3 of em. Nope, there you go, man. Peace out.

Jesus was born somewhere early in the year. The only reason Christians celebrate his birthday on December 25th is because that's the date that Roman worshippers of Mithra, the Persian sun god, used to celebrate a pagan holiday called "The Birthday of the Sun", because of the winter solstice. The Roman Church decided to keep this date as a way of attracting Mithra worshippers to celebrate Jesus's birthday instead of their pagan god, and not have to change the date of the celebration.

There is no where in scripture showing that Jesus Christ was born on december 25th. The scriptures teaches us in
1 TIMOTHY 1:3,4
3) As I besought thee to abide still at ephesus, when I went to macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4) Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do

PAY CLOSE ATTENTION
A fable means a false account: a false or improbable account of something.
And genealogy means the study of history of families and the line of descent from their ancestors.

To these preachers, bible scholars, doctors of doctrine who teach that Jesus Christ was born on decemder 25th, or christmas day. THAT TEACHING IS FALSE and I challenge anyone to show me in scripture where Jesus Christ was born on that day, and you must show me chapter and verse that Jesus was born on december 25th.
The reason why the apostle Paul who was inspired by God to write neither give heed to fables and genealogies is because the information that people need to receive is that which concerns their souls. Birthday's cannot save souls. The stories in the bible must used as examples unto the edification of wanting to come out from the world and serve God. The scriptures say in
1 TIMOTHY 1:7
7) Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor where they affirm.

The doctrine that is needed to be taught is God not flesh, the doctrine that is needed to be taught is Holiness
HEBREWS 12:14
14) Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the lord

I pray for you all. Amen

Most scholars say it was late spring because of why Joseph and Mary were going to Bethlehem.

The Roman Emperor Cesar Augustus wanted a census of all the Jews. Because of the patriarchal society and lack of the internet, the folks back then had to travel to the hometown of the husband to be counted. (Sidebar: only the men and boys were counted) Joseph was from Bethlehem.

While a trip today from Nazereth to Bethlehem might be a few hours with a quickie stop at McDonald's, in Bible times it was a huge journey that lasted several weeks. People would not have travelled in the winter months because of the weather.

The Bible doesn't say he was, and no one knows with any certainty the exact date. I've heard arguments saying it was probably in the springtime, but again, that's mainly speculation. The reason the Church put Christmas on December 25 was 1) so they had a set date on which to celebrate the birth of Christ and 2) so that the pagans they were trying to convert would celebrate Christmas in lieu of the winter's solstice.

No one knows the exact birth date of Jesus Christ however using historical sources and other information about the census taken in Israel it is fairly certain that the actual birth of Christ took place sometime in the months of March or April of the year 6-4BC however other sources put the speculated date in September or October. No one really knows today and no one was actually totally sure even in the day of Christ. Remember that Herod proclaimed that the Jewish male children that was between birth and two years old be put to death in and around the birth city of Christ in his attempt to kill the Christ Child. He had only the information of an approximate time of birth himself based on the information the Magi had given him as they traveled to find the Christ Child based upon the cloistral signs they observed.

Christmas in December comes out of later years and not the actual time Christ was born however the important thing is celebration of that event and we can do that daily.

No. We know he was born 6 months after his 1st cousin, John the Baptist, who was born sometime in April/May according to the Jewish Calendar (which goes in 2 month increments). So if Christ was born 6 months later it would be, September/October and since he died at 32 1/2 (32.5) on the day after Passover (which according to the Jewish calendar is ALWAYS, ALWAYS on the same day every year, (the first full moon after the vernal equinox) or Nisan 14 of the Jewish Calendar) his death would come on Nisan 15. Or about 2 weeks after Feb. 21st (the vernal equinox or first day of spring). So counting 6 months from september/october we get march/april as the date for his death.

December 25th was the day of the death of Tammuz, or the Son God, Great, Great grandson of Noah, great grandson of Ham, grandson of Cush, and son of Nimrod and Semiramis, the King and Queen of Babylon. Nimrod had died months before and Semiramis his queen had herself declared a Virgin Queen Mother and the Mother of a God that would soon be born. When Tammuz was born, she, in order to keep grip on her reign of power offered him up to the Sun on December 25th as a sacrifice to deifiy him and make his godhood complete, and herself as the mother of the god eternal. This is the First virgin birth prefigurment and where the Catholics got much of their ideas for Mary worship, (see The Two Babylons by the Rev. Alexander Hislop). There's much much more to it.

Nope, apparently he was born in January sometime. The reason why Christians celebrate his birthday on the 25th is because the Church follows a different calander than the economic world.
