What was he thinking? And why would he change his mind if he is really god and perfect?
But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father's house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 NAB)
Kill Women Who Are Not Virgins On Their Wedding Night
Was a person who refused to obey this barbaric law not a righteous person because of his moral choice to disobey this immoral law that they said was spoken to Moses from god allmighty?
By the way, many women break their hymen in childhood without having sex, so how can you prove 100 percent that the women was unchaste? What if you kill an innocent woman? Is this barbaric, or biblical family values at work?

Forgetting debates about the existence of God, a god/goddess, whatever, I believe that was a social rule added in to the Bible to ensure it was practiced.
Forgetting who or what their inspiration was, men wrote the Bible down. They (reasonably) wanted to make sure that people stayed pure.
The problem is that it's really a death sentence for a virgin without a hymen, as you said. How can a girl prove she's really a virgin?
Does that statement offer protection for victims of rape? Incest?
If you kill an innocent woman, that's barbaric and not what God would want.
Personally, I think that a woman's body is her own, and she has the right to do whatever she wants with it.
(I'm an agnostic so I can't offer anything any better put than that, sorry.)

All i can tell you is that the law in the old testameant is something you should listen to even if it is not in the new testament because and he never killed virgines on there wedding night or anything mary could have got killed because she was having a baby with out being married and god protected her from getting killed because he is a Mighty god no one can understand him but those who are filled with the holy spirit if you are filled with the holy spirit why are you saying this god loved her to much to let them kill her and i dont know what you mean when you were talking about moses but if anyone was a holy man it was moses yes he had times where he went against god but he ended up being very true to god i mean the god who talks to you from a bush raises people must be the one true god i dont know what you are thinking when you wrote this but i am speechless!!

Who are you to determine what is and what is not an immoral law.
Do you dare to know the mind of God. Could there have been a purpose in the strict punishment of those who transgressed against the established laws of the day. The law was in place to teach the people the difference between good and evil. God did not change his mind... Christ came to fulfill the law and with that fulfillment... came forgiveness, a way out of our sins. A way not provided for by the law of the old testament. God always planned this provision for the salvation for mankind. Humble yourself before God, seek out his wisdom. Don't foolishly judge Gods way from your humanist perspective.

Lol, there is a difference between a young woman damaging her hymen as a child and a young s1ut, and the two would have been found out. While errors were probably made from time to time, those girls will get resurrections and chances at life again. However, they were not worried about a young girl who accidently broker her hymen, after all, her mother or the slaves would have found that during the washing and pointed it out! They were worried about girls having sexual intercouse and bring reproach on god's eternal NAME.

This was an apparent attempt by God to keep Israel pure.
Stop and think for a moment if women and men didn't have sex until marriage perhaps we wouldn't have so many single parent, usually Mom, households.

The bible has a lot of horrors in it. It's not so terrible if you look at it in its context - it was the religious and cultural guide of an ancient society that consisted largely of uneducated savages living in the desert. Life was tough, and they weren't very knowledgeable about the world.
