She loves him but he "hates" her. He only pets her to keep her from crawling on him. Is crying normal behavior for a dog?

She's NOT afraid of him. Not in the least. She loves him and melts all over him when he pets her. He doesn't hate her (he just says that). He can't stand how much she licks and aggravates him. He's never been mean to her or anything, if that's what you're thinking. She just starts crying whenever his attention is on me or vice versa.

first of all your puppy is craving attention from him so she cries to get attention from him as well as she is jealous of him your the one who shows your puppy attention and she is feeling like your being taken away by your husband attention.

is your dog crying because he's talking to you in a nice way? if yes she just wants to be part of the conversation (she needs you guys to pay her attention).
is she crying when you fight? then she is trying to get in the middle of the fight and make friends
is she crying because she is trying to tell you something else? what if he doesn't treat her good? abuse her maybe? it has happend to me. try and ask a positive dog trainer.

Your dog wants you all to it's self. Or she wants attention from him.

if he hates the dog then thats why she is scared of him. i dont know if its normal but i do know if they are scared of something or someone they will whine or cry.

Jealousy, I'd imagine. Maybe it's just wanting attention from you, or maybe from BOTH of you.

dogs are just weird they make no sense,It's a dog thats why we all have one they are dumb but keep us happy with their odd things.
