I used to work with a company in Southern Ca. they seemed be on the cutting edge of working with parents and people with Autism. They are Jay Nolan community Services. They are a good resource for parent help and information. There is an website that actually helps you find respa and other providers in your area. You should be entitled to State Help and Federal Help but most states will put you on a waiting list. Depending what state you are in is how long the waiting list could be. I also did work in SLC UT. and the state did have a descent size waiting list. Its best to get on the list because like anything in the government if your not on it you wont get it. If I knew what state and how old your child is it would much easier to direct you to in the right direction.

You may have already looked into this, but your family may be eligible for government assistance through medicaid or SSI, I believe. A local parent support group (try http://www.autism-society.org/ ) may be able to point you in the right direction to find out more about this. You may also want to ask them about other service agencies in your area. I would advise you to contact service agencies as soon as you can, because some have waiting lists for up to 10 years for services.
Here are also some online resources that I hope can help you.

i've got not got toddlers, yet my youthful brother has Asperger's. i visit flow by your checklist and yay or nay the symptom's as they word to Asperger's. undergo in ideas that Autism is a spectrum-basically because of the fact it extremely is no longer Aspergers does no longer propose that it extremely is no longer autism in any respect... Refusing cuddles and reassurance whilst he has injury himself sure--Aspy little ones are very tactile protecting, and do in comparison to human beings being too close Relentless aggression in the direction of his toddler brother and specifically situations Mum No--it extremely is an unlucky stereotype in the direction of Autistic little ones-they don't seem to be all aggressive. i've got met a number of that are actually not aggressive in any respect, in the direction of every person, ever. Head banging (as a toddler) head butting (as a toddler) the top banging is relatively difficulty-loose in autistic little ones. Destroying toys and inflicting extensive messes No-Autistic little ones, and extremely Aspy little ones, like order, cleanliness, and ordinary. observing me 'sideways' as quickly as I tell him off This basically looks like accepted baby stuff. Punishments do basically no longer paintings back, accepted baby stuff. Aspy little ones have a tendency to do what they are advised, as long as they understand the reasoning at the back of it. you will possibly be able to desire to tell my brother to stand interior the nook because of the fact he threw his toy and it hit the television, yet he does not flow till he thoroughly understood what it became he became being punished for. He can not talk o.k. - speaks toddler-talk Autism-sure, Asperger's-no longer inevitably. Do you and his dad talk toddler-refer to him? he would be lots extra in all likelihood to talk interior the way he's spoken to. Has no clue approximately potty guidance Takes a at the same time as for autistic little ones--back, they might desire to thoroughly understand the belief of what you desire them to do. yet as quickly as they do it as quickly as, it extremely is going to stick b/c it extremely purely takes the single to make it click. That and that they'll HATE the sensation of being moist of their pants as quickly as the diapers come off! Lining up vehicles Oh sure-very Aspy habit. back, it extremely is that desire for administration and order. Sorting construction bricks into colours sure sure sure--see above! Being fearful of the hoover and 'bangs' sure with regard to notably lots all varieties of Autism. obsessed with particular ingredients back, this falls into many varieties of Autism. desire I helped slightly!
