Actually, recent polls (at least in the US) put the numbers between 60% to 80% of the population believes that Jesus is saviour.
That would be more than a majority.

Although the majority (over 50%) of people do not believe in Jesus, the largest group of religious believers do believe in Jesus. In other words, there are more Christians in the world than any other 'religion'.
Regardless, the majority of Christians (Catholic, Orthodox, some mainline Protestants, etc.) do believe that someone who does not know who Christ is, may still be saved and go to heaven. However, anyone that is saved is saved by Christ, whether or not they considered themselves Christian or not.
God is our judge. We cannot decide who goes to heaven and who doesn't. The only thing we know is what has been revealed to us. That is, anyone who is saved is saved by Christ.
A small minority of Christians (Globally speaking) believe that all who don't profess Christ as their Lord and Savior will be damned to hell regardless of how they lived their lives.

It seems that many Christians and other Christian denominations believe that is the case. Of course most of us that don't believe in Jesus don't believe in the concept of Hell either so it's a mute point. Heaven and Hell are in the here and now...Your life can be a Heavenly one or a Hellish one based upon the choices you make. PEACE!

How can you be sure that its the majority that doesn't believe Jesus is the Savior? Have you been taking a census? Besides, what we believe shouldn't concern you just like we're not concern of what you believe. It's called respect.

First, who is the majority?
And yes, if you do not believe Jesus to be your personal savior and know he died for our sins and ask him to come into your heart, then you will not get into Heaven. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus.

""The majority of people do not believe Jesus is saviour.Do Christians believe they will all go to Hell?""
IF a person or persons do not believe that JESUS IS THE SAVIOUR then I do not just BELIEVE they will go to hell......I KNOW they will go to hell.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE - it's wonderful!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
If at some time in a persons life they accept Jesus the Christ (Saviour) as their own personal Saviour.
Realize that HE, Jesus, died for his or her own personal and individual sins.
Is truly sorry (repents) for all the sins he or she has committed and for the evil thoughts and deeds done.
Asks Jesus to "come in to his or her heart" and "wash it clean" of sins.
Accepts Jesus as THE ONLY SAVIOUR and accepts that Jesus is TRULY GOD.
That person is SAVED from Hellfire FOR EVER!
Jesus said the He is the truth, the life and the way. Noone come to the Father but by Him.
Take that anyway you wish. We all have coices in life and these choices come at a cost.
The real qeustion is can you afford the cost????
Acts 4
12Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
John 6:
47Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 14:
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Unfortunately not all Christians agree on Hell itself, not to mention who goes there and why.
