we never fully appreciate anything until we have had it and had it taken away.

With all the ups and downs , etc......yes, very much so. I would say I practically lead a charmed life. There are times I marvel at my life. This has not ALWAYS been the case. I realize that I have it good, but I have worked hard . I know of no one who has been handed the gold ring without deserving it. I literally thank God every day for my life.

Somehow, I always appreciated what I've had, but it's not the same way with what I have in this moment. It's a good thing in human nature to always remember the good things and forget the bad ones, but I just really wish I could be more happy in the present time - not to be soooooooooo worried about the future.

Actually the fact that my life has been hard makes me appreciate it that much more. I can't explain why I am still alive today except by the grace of God. But I am very grateful for it today.

I try to but when I see others going and doing things I wanted to do I get frustrated. I do appreciate the things to a certain degree but I have come to appreciate the people who care about us even more!

I appreciate that my mother was stending to support me in the most hard times when the world has abandoned me. She saved the Christianity and me also. i also respect Koichiro Yoshida from Tokyo, Japan who also stood by me in the hardest times.
All of you others are just like leaves blown by the wind. You all will perish!

It depends upon on what you believe. Years ago there were people who were raised in america to believe that they had to do everything all alone to survive. Now people are being raised to believe that networking is a better solution to survival. Both ways depend on appreciation. What we need to be wary of is applying commercial depreciation to humanity. And yes, I appreciate that I was able to go to war to support my countries growth.

It helps. Try volunteering for a place that helps the down and outs of society. You will appreciate the little you have.

Absolutely.
Things can always be worse and I try to remember the wonderful things in my life rather than dwell on the bad stuff.
