After 13 military moves, too many to list!
My biggest mistake is letting them pack my sense of humor in the first box, and have it be the last thing unpacked.
It's a move. Moves get stressful. But, they are hassles, not tragedies. You'll be fine!

Two years ago, moved from TN to NE. U-Haul truck broke down 1 hr out of Nashville, at 4AM. (The dumb@$$ mechanic sealed the oil pan with silicone instead of a rubber gasket, so oil was pouring out everywhere.) Had to get a hotel. Had to have movers move our stuff from one truck to the other. Took an hour. Didn't get on the road until 1PM. 6 or 7 PM, the lights on the dashboard go out. 11PM, get pulled over. Didn't reach NE until 1AM. Almost 24 hrs. On top of that, the U-Haul gas tank was so large, the fuel stopped pumping at 75.00, and it still wasn't full. We spent a ridiculous amount of money on gas.

I actually moved from Texas to CA and back a year later via USPS with 10 large cardboard boxes. I can't believe I did that!

moved to Sac, CA
had only a few days to pack up every thing. UPS lost or ruined almost everything we had. They gave us a few hundred for a few thousand lost items. Plus the sentimental stuff being lost too.

There was this horror movie called 'THE GRUDGE".One of my friends told me it was good.I went to see it and that was the worst movie I have ever seen in my life.lol lol.It was a funny incident.I came back from the movie and me and my friend got into a fight because of that silly movie.Gosh it was extremely funny.

well i moved last year a month before hurricane katrina, from texas to new orleans....the movers broke one of my sofa legs (which was a very expensive sofa)...then of course, i had it fixed....so then 30 days later katrina ran up my *** and i had to move back to texas....that my dear, is a nightmare

first, unplug your computer and put it in your car... you'll get a lot more done that way
