How would the phone be better. If she actually goes out with you, do you think you're not going to have to look at her at some point.

If you have opportunity to ask face to face then do but am getting idea that you ask about phone for a bit shy or not confident enough to ask face to face. The phone is good and just say Hi How is she doing and then ask out-like would you like to go to a movie on such and such date and time or skating or whatever activity you have planned for your date. Whatever you do do not ask what she'd like to do right away for girls like a guy to take charge but you can say initially what you plan or is there something that she'd really like to do for it shows you can make a decision-be in charge but flexible to take her likes into consideration. Just ask all she can do is say No so you have everything to gain and if she does indicate that sahe's not interested in dating you maybe your pride will suffer a little bit but you'll recover. Hope you get that date.

I think the phone would be good. Ask her how is she doing then just ask her out.

THE PHONE WILL DO NO GOOD.ASK HER OUT IN PERSON GO UP TO HER AND TALK TO HER ASK HER HOW HER DAY WAS THEN IF SHE SAYS GOOD ASK HER WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO ALL THIS WEEK AND WHEN SHE TELLS YOU TELL HER IF SHE WOULD LIKE TO GO OUT WITH YOU.

I know you're probably scared of rejection but if you really really like this girl you should be able to talk 2 her face-2-face!!!!!
