I' just graduated from high school, am strong in math and science, and am considering majoring in biological engineering. I would probably do the program with the pre-med requirements, but I was just wondering what the other options were, other than med school. I'd appreciate any insights.

Biological Engineering deals primariy with the engingeering of the biological systems as the name entails.
It would include bio-fermentation, bio-preservation, processing of biological products etc. Some of the applied fields would be the food processing industry, chemical industry, water and waste management etc.

I'm sure Al Queda would be interested in hiring you to make a bio-WMD for them.

Don't know if the job comes with a good pension plan, though.
