Your first stop should be your doctor, if you have one. Bi-polar can spiral out of control very fast and you need to assess your situation to make sure you are safe. Medication is the only way to stay safe if you are alone and ahve no support. Try a bipolar chat group online or google your area and find someone to talk to. But don't put it off. You are worth helping.

More than likely, if you want help other than governmental or charity mental wards, you will want to see some professional psychiatrist / psychologist. Group thereapy is helpful in that it lets you know just how crazy the rest of us are prone to becoming.

And, I have found in the world that nothing is free - even, and especially for the sick.

go to your local health dept. sometimes they have services available such as counseling, psychiatry, etc to help those with mental disorders. their services are usually either free or very low cost if you can prove that you dont make alot of money. if they dont offer the services themselves, they can refer you to someone in the community who does offer those services and hook you up with phone numbers.
