i remember reading alot about this topic when the big recall happened. the problem was a compilation of poorly designed tires and a poorly designed rear end stance. the tires popping was the fault of firestone hands down. the fact that ford explorers would flip over when this happened was fords fault. the year after this whole investigation ford completely redesigned the rear end of the explorer. almost admitting to partial guilt in my mind.

Nothing at all to do with ethical implications, it's all about money. In this country you don't ever mention the word sorry or some shyster lawyer will eat your lunch big time.
