i have a judgement on my bank account with chase from discovery card.
how long does it stay for, it has been over 1 month and counting, is there a limitation as to how long it stays frozen with out them, lawyer taking action???

The best thing that you can do at this point is take a look at my "protect your family" blog. Get the answers that you need and protection you deserve.
Good luck with your situation. The judgment will stay on your record for 5-7 years depending on what happens. IF you are broke right now most likely nothing is going to happen. Since there is a judgment they are most likely going to sell you account to some one who will harass you and do what they can to collect on the debt. Don't pay anything, at ALL unless the terms of that agreement are in writing... that is the most IMPORTANT thing... agree and then have them send it to you in writing, make sure you note the fine print... as if you agree to terms and then you don't keep them they will throw fees in the small print. If you don't do anything they will most likely just wait until you have a good job and then make attempts to garnish your wages... it really just depends...

dealing with them myself they did me wrong been months court was suppose to be yesterday should hear from my at tourney any day. Hate that company will never deal with them again. we should start an email chain of what kind of company they are!!!
