WOW that is exactly what my 15 year old son wants to be!!!! He has it all planned out! It takes regular college 4 years plus medical school 6 years and then internship another year. There r programs that will pay college though! My son will get to go to medical school FREE OF CHARGE do to the fact that as long as he practices medicine his first 5 years here in this state they will pay all of his expenses! As expensive as medical school is thats a great offer!!!! He is thrilled and wants this more than life itself!!!

5-7 years of postgraduate study in neurosurgery (following a mandatory one-year surgery internship). After completing their residency training, some neurosurgeons undertake advanced subspecialty training in programs known as fellowships which are typically one or two years in duration.
