Wrong.
Accepting Jesus as Savior and Lord, allowing Him into your heart makes you a Christian. The change in your life is what makes you a Christian.
Baptism is a public confession/display of the inward cleansing, and nothing more than that.
Baptism just gets you wet.

Absolutely not. Read the book of John. It is the belief in the redeeming work of Christ alone that salvation is found. Baptism and communion are what we do as Christians to commemorate what Christ did for us. Baptism is a public profession of faith that symbolizes Christ death, burial and resurrection. Communion, the breaking of bread and drinking of wine with fellow believers is a direct command from Christ. See John 3:16, Romans 10:13, Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8,9 to name a few of the biblical references explaining what is required for salvation. It is a gift, it cannot be earned through works. If you are not "saved" and have been baptized, all you did was get soaked!

Baptism neither ensures your "spot" in heaven, nor does it make you a Christian. You become a Christian when you accept Christ in your life and ask him to forgive you of your sins, making him Lord of your life. Baptism is simply an outward expression of an inward commitment - it's basically a symbol, kind of like a wedding ring. As a Christian though, it is the first step in obeying God.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith... it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8,9

No, following Jesus Christ makes you a Christian. Baptism is an act of obedience to God's will, its an evident act of one's faith.

No sweetie. Your faith, thoughts and actions reflect your Christianity! Baptism is your statement to God and to the world that you have confessed all you sins, claimed the Lords promises, and are now willing to fallow and trust Him for the rest of your days! This does not mean that you will never sin again, but it does signify your spiritual rebirth. Our Lord has promised that if we ask Him, He will help us resist all temptation and overcome every sin.

In all honesty I don't believe in baptisms. If you believe in God and your saved, you don't need to be baptised. You live a good, honest life then you'll go to Heaven, no baptism required.
