I know I think the British accent sounds pretty rad, at least when coupled with some British vocabulary, but do any bona fide Brits—or people who speak with a similar accent—think that we Americans have desirable accents? Or do we just butcher every word that leaves our mouths?

I'm originally from Chicago....... my husband is British and he loves the accent. During our courtship, he kept asking me to say "Chicago" and "Da Bulls" coz he thought it sounded cute. Now he has started to complain that living with him is affecting my accent and I don't sound like a "hot chi-town chica" as much anymore.

I love American accents, particularly a Southern twang on a muscular Southern American. I don't know why, I just think they sound really hot! I have a very 'proper' English accent, but I don't like it - it makes me sound... well... tarty!

I visit Missouri alot, love the local accent in the town i visit, southern accents are cool too!.
