Well the only law they break is crossing the border illegally! Once in the country they are not breaking the law because under it, it does not say they cannot live here. It is our society that makes up these rules and makes issues out of something that really is not an issue! This great country was founded by immigrants (even though this country was already occupied when it was "settled") so why are we so fearful of the new immigrants. It is not going to stop anytime soon, no matter how much we militarize our borders, history can prove that to us. So instead of complaining and wining about the so called problem just embrace it! Most undocumented that come here are here to do well and mean no harm and yes most of them are of Mexican/Latino descent but there has not been a Latino uni-bomber that has killed or threatened American lives! So stop blaming them for everything that is wrong with our country. We make it this way.

I think it is the one issue, if any, that will save the Republican party. Unlike gay marraige and flag burning, however, this is a real issue with real points on both sides, which is what Democrats are going to need to look at as the one area where they are weak. If the GOP lets its religious right go after judges and gay marraiges, they'll be able to sit back and tell the rest of the country, "who do you want in charge, people with a plan to save america or a bunch of nut balls that want to talk about Adam and Steve and an issue that hasn't been an issue for nearly 20 years now?"
That being said, they're not that easy of a target. Yes, illegals can't vote, but that says nothing for the advocacy groups that are going to be screaming racism every day of the week and bring out example after example of "hard working immigrants who do the jobs Americans won't (well, at least not at those slave wages)" That's why some of the Republicans are being smart and going after the companies, accusing them of being "slave masters".

No. They are just a sign that somethings deeply wrong with our nations leadership and citizens. It's in the politicians political self-interest to turn a blind eye to illegal mexicans because of strong ties to powerful business interests.
If the citizens of a country won't work in agriculture or other lower end jobs and the mega-business leaders won't give decent pay and the general public won't pay a little more for American products, then we won't have much of a middle class any more. I think that Americans are waking up to the realization that the American dream really has ended and that's part of the reason they're freaking out about illegal mexicans - not just because of national security issues.
As long as we keep importing more 3rd world poor for economic exploitation in order to make fortunes for powerful fat-cats you will see a continuing decline in our culture.

Anything that takes taxpayer dollars from legal residents is appropriate for targeting. Illegal immigrants take taxpayer dollars in the form of free schools and free medical care.
Are they the only target? NO...but solving this one would free up a great deal of taxpayer money for other projects.

No, but criminals are. If you are in this country illegally, you are a criminal. Why not just come in legally? Their men and women should take arms agains their corrupt leaders and take back their country. I hope with this new president in Mexico will be a help, instead of being like the last president.

No due to the large population affected by the actions that would be taken against them if laws where inforced. Lots of the large population affected are citizen family members and voters.

They should be but actually, the issue makes the politicians pretty uncomfortable...
Watch and see how many are trying to placate both sides of the fence!
Sooner or later, they will have to choose or be left straddling that fence....let us hope it will be the fence along the border!

beneficial. A policeman ripped off an unlawful. i'm procuring that. Illegals ARE criminals. Criminals stay between and affiliate with different criminals...they deal in money...of direction they are going to be the victims of crime.
