Many times when i'm walking down the street a guy will try to as folks say these days, "holler at me" and when I don't respond or give them the response they don't want to hear (i'm never rude when i tell them that i'm not interested) they say things like "You ugly anyways..." or "I didn't want to talk to you anyway...." If he wasn't interested in the girl 'anyway' why did he call her?

Basically the "men" that are doing this are just immature dorks that wouldn't know what to do with a real woman if they had one. They are probably married with like 10 kids at home, or have never been with someone of the opposite sex. Don't sweat it, you called their bluff. People act much differently in groups of their peers then they do on a one on one basis. They obviously were interested, I'm sure you're beautiful, just don't get too hung up on what others think, say or do.

It's not that he wasn't interested, it's that his feelings got hurt when he didn't get a positive response...I've never understood the urge some people have to name-call or be ugly to someone just because that person didn't react as hoped, but consider yourself lucky to know right off what kind of person that (in this case guy) is so you don't waste time on him...
I've had experiences like that too, even online...someone's all honey sweet until I politely let them know I'm just not interested, and then they turn ugly (I imagine some chicks probably act the same way when rejected by guys)...they're just trying to sooth their own feelings by appearing not to have really liked you in the first place...but it does make them appear rather foolish to have flirted initially then claim to find you "ugly" or whatever-the-case-may-be...

No reasonable guy expects any kind of sucess from making crude offhand comments to a complete stranger on the street. You owe them no response, and anything they may say can be considered of no consequence since they're obviously of questionable common sense.

It's more posturing for their friends than anything (no offense). They would never do that if they were standing on the street by themselves. They're doing it to display for their friends how macho they are. Then when you reject them (whether you're doing it nicely or not), they insult you to save face in front of their friends.

it's because they're idiots and you should never deal with a guy that does that type of stuff. they say that to so that their ego doesn't deflate. they are just kids that don't know how to treat people in general. just hold your head up and keep moving.

It's the testosterone in them that makes them do stupid things like that and then the rejection causes them to act twice as stupid as they should.
