Well, I can't "prove" the central object of the Christian faith -- the Resurrection -- to you, but I can offer a bit of an argument. First off, faith is a grace, a gift from God, my answer isn't going to convince you to believe anything. So having said that.... Nearly 2,000 years ago a community of Judean Jews risked everything they had or held dear -- their Jewish identity, their family, their friends, and in many cases their lives -- to proclaim that a Nazarean carpenter renown as a great teacher, mystic, and healer, and who was tortured and crucified under Pontius Pilate, had actually risen from the dead, hung out with them, even ate with them. They also proclaimed that he was the promised "son of David" and the "suffering servant" of the book of Isaiah. They proclaimed him to be the King of all things, the promised Messiah, and the Son of the Living God. These mostly peasant Jews went throughout Palestine and the Roman Empire proclaiming this, witnessing to His Teachings by selling all their possessions and giving the money to the poor, feeding and clothing the homeless, and urging people to love one another without exception. Mind you they did these things under constant threat of losing their lives. Why would they do this? And then there's St. Paul -- a devout Jewish scholar of the Law and the chief persecutor of the early Church. Paul was zealous and ruthless in stamping out Christianity, until he too encountered the risen Jesus. Paul went on to become the greatest missionary the faith has ever had. Paul is a historical figure, no secular historian would argue otherwise. Thirteen epistles of the New Testament are attributed to Paul, six are considered authentic by secular scholars. Check out his letters to the Thessalonians and Corinthians. The Christian faith spread like wildfire throughout the Roman Empire for over 300 years of persecution before the faithful could actually start practicing their faith openly without fear of being arrested and put to death. All the while their message was simple... "God loved us so much that He died for us, love your neighbor the same way!"

Well, Greek mythology is a kind of religion. True Christianity is based on a real relationship. It's not a religion - comparing the two is simply apples and oranges. I wasn't convinced by rules, rites, traditions or simply the places. But, one person and what he said was totally convincing to me. If you're a student of Greek mythology and not of the bible, I'd suggest that you read through the entire bible before you judge that true Christianity is less believable. You might get in touch with someone who would be very convincing.

Because mythology, is just that a myth, Christianity is not a man made religion, Jesus came as Gods son and performed miracles of God, The Holy Spirit lives in those that accept Christ, can you imagine this world without Gods protection from evil, we'd be blowing everyone up, no one would be nice, just look at the middle east, those that believe in false Gods, you see what is happening over there.

It isn't. That's what you want to hear, right? There will come a time when the Lord will walk upon the earth with men and they will believe because they see, but what good is faith if you only believe what you see. Those people born in that age will not know what it is like to be without God. They will not know how good they have it because there will be no evil. You see evil is just a word that describes the absence of God.
It is true that by believing in God, you must believe things that are not from your physical experience. Even if there weren't historical records in existence that validate what has happened in the Bible, it is not about what is believable.
Faith is about searching the spiritual world, praying to God, fighting the unseen battle against a spiritual enemy. Try this, it couldn't hurt if there is no God, so just try it: pray to God, as if He were there. Ask him to show you his light in your life and ask him into your heart to lead you in the right direction. Pray in the name of Jesus, Amen. Try this for a few days. Your prayer will be answered.
God bless.

Christianity was and is based on the fact that Jesus Christ is God and came to earth to die for the sins of mankind. That is the only truth worth knowing. Greek mythology is a bunch of nonsense created by man. Which would you choose.

DO you compromise with the best judgment of this Bible author? Mankind has experienced some 2,000 years of medical progression for the reason that that verse changed into penned. Does all of us nonetheless imagine that the layout obtrusive in nature calls for perception in a fashion designer, a author—God? Even in industrialized international places many people may say certain. interior the US, operating example, a survey performed by using Newsweek mag in 2005 stumbled on that eighty p.c. of folk “believe that God created the universe.” is this perception as a results of a lack of coaching? nicely, do any scientists believe in God? The technological understanding mag Nature said in 1997 that pretty a lot 40 p.c. of biologists, physicists, and mathematicians surveyed believe in a God who no longer only exists yet also listens to and solutions prayers.

Don't listen to these fools that are saying Christianity isn't a "man made" religion. In fact, according to Christians' bibles, Jesus didn't create Christianity either because it didn't exist. Man formed the Christianity church after Jesus died. God certainly didn't make it, therefore it is "man made".
There is no physical proof that either religion is more believable than the other. Any "proof" someone claims they have is simply metaphysical. I'm afraid the only way your going to know which is the right one is by following your own individual faith.

Why is everyone saying that Greek mythology is more "interesting"?
Goodness, just because it deals with magic and monsters?
And why is everyone saying that Christianity is less believable?!
IT'S NOT!

What I find even more entertaining is that the same xtian who laughed at the story of Persephone and the Bull (who is Zeus in disguise) told me that Mary was impregnated by the holy ghost in the form of a dove via the ear canal.
