AirTreks.com is a great resource for planning an "around the world" trip. You can select your cities of interest with their interactive map, choose a flight or overland transportation to leave each city, and then submit your itinerary to an agent who will contact you to help finalize your trip. The website gives price estimates for your trip, as well as suggestions for layovers that will save you more money.
