Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay, a Hindu professor, in his stunning book claims that the description of the" Avatar" found in the Holy books of the Hindu religion, matches the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PUBH).

Evidence given includes:-
God would teach Kalki Avatar through His messenger (angel) in a cave. Allah taught Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) through His messenger Jibraeel (Gabriel), in a cave known as Ghaar-e-Hira.

God would provide Kalki Avatar with a very speedy horse to ride and travel the whole world and the seven skies. Indication of burraq (Horse) and Me'raaj (the night when Prophet [PBUH] travelled the seven skies).

God would provide Kalki Avatar with divine help. This was particularly proved in the Battle of Badr.

Another dazzling account given about Kalki Avatar was that he would be born on the 12th of a month. Whereas the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was born on the 12th of Rabbi ul Awwal (Hijra Calendar).

Kalki Avatar would be an excellent horse rider and swordsman

Why do you think this is "utterr balderdash"?

Im finding it amazing that the Prophet PBUH's coming was predicted within every major religion...The Jewish people were expecting him & they recognised the Quran as the Word of God (but obviously not all Jews accepted that, some rejected the Prophet PBUH because he was Arab :-( May Allah bless him) And recently it was said it was predicted in Buddhist prophecies & now in Hindu.

When i read about this Hindu man writing this book, i thought its a good thing that people can see that what they have believed in for centuries isnt wrong- a prophet will come who will guide them. Their belief has been supported by Islam. Yes Islam was revealed 14000+ yrs ago but the concept of worshipping One True God is as old as time. Thats why there are similarities between religions & thats why Muslims hve a special prayer that says "Oh Allah, forgive all of the Muslim women, both living and dead and all of the believing men&women both living and dead"

X-mam- Yes i read its fron the veda. I apoloise, i couldnt fit all the article in here, but will post it on later tonight for you to see what i have read.

Steven- Thanks for your post, i didnt really understand it though. Are you Hindu? And do you think the description in the Vedas about the coming of the avatar DO fit the description of the Prophet PBUH? I must point out that it was a Hindu pundit who wrote this book and who made the connection. He believes and 8 other pundits believe that the Prophet PBUH's coming was prophesised in HIndu writings as the person the HIndus must follow. I will post full article on here so you can see what the pundits said

Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay, a Hindu professor, in his stunning book claims that the description of the" Avatar" found in the Holy books of the Hindu religion, matches the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PUBH). Recently in India, a fact-revealing book has been published. The Book has been the topic of discussion and gossip all over the country. The author of this book, Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay, is a learned and famous Hindu professor. The book is Kalki Avatar. Pundit Vedaprakash Upadhyay is a Hindu Brahmin of Bengali origin. He is a research scholar at Allahabad University. After years of research, he published this book, and no less than eight pundits have endorsed and certified his points of argument as authentic. According to Hindu belief, the Hindu world awaits "the guide and leader", named Kalki Avatar. However, the description as given in the holy scriptures of the Hindu points only to the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) of Arabia. Therefore, the Hindus of the whole world should not wait any...

longer for the arrival of Kalki Avatar (the spirit) and should readily accept Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) as Kalki Avatar. These are the FACTS verified and supported by eight other eminent pundits. What the author says is that Hindus, who are still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Kalki Avatar, are simply subjecting themselves to never ending pain. Because, such a great messenger has already arrived and departed from this world fourteen centuries ago.

The author produces the following sound evidences from the Vedas and other holy books of the Hindu religion in support of his claim:

1. In the Puranas (Hindu scriptures), it is stated that Kalki Avatar would be the last messenger of God in this world. He would be for guidance of the whole world and all human beings. 2. According to a Hindu religion prediction the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an isle, which again according to Hindu religion is Arab Region.

3. In books of Hindus, the names of the father and the mother of Kalki Avatar are given as VISHNUBHAGAT and SUMAANI respectively. If we examine the meaning of these names we shall come to some very interesting conclusion. VISHNU (meaning God) + BHAGAT (meaning Slave). Slave of God = ABDULLAH (in Arabic) is the name of Prophet's (PBUH) Father.

SUMAANI (meaning peace or calmness).Aamenah (in Arabic means peace) is the name of Prophet's (PBUH) Mother.

4. In the religious books of Hindus, it is mentioned that the staple food of Kalki Avatar would be dates and olives and he would be the most honest and truthful person in the region. Without any doubt the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) is acclaimed to possess these qualities. 5. It is stated in Vedas (holy book of Hindu Religion) that the birth of Kalki Avatar would take place in an honorable clan. This perfectly fits the Quraysh where Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) belonged to.

The author here draws the attention of Hindus that the real days of horses and swords have gone and the present time of guns and missiles.

Re Samara's comment:- "if your"holy"book tells you of the arrival of muhammad then why havent you converted to islam?!"

I am already a Muslim alhumdullilah. Al-Quran is my holy book.

I wasnt sure if you were Muslim though as your comment was so rude. Also, if you are a believer, show some respect to our beloved Nabi PBUH and say "Peace Be Upon Him" after his name.

hpandya316-
You're Hindu but do accept the Prophet PBUH IS a Prophet of God? Please help me to understand this...if you accept Muhammad PBUH is the prophet of God....then surely you accept the message he brought as well? That Islam is the consolidation of all the previous Messengers's messages? That means you accept Islam only, as it is more relevant for the rest of life on earth than the previous messages, although they of course are not without some merit as they are God's word too (albeit adulterated.)

If you dont think he PBUH was kalki avatar (which im a bit confused about too!) then why is this? Can anyone explain what the difference is between kalki avatar and a Prophet of God? thanks in advance all

What is A-Kala?
Who's a fake professor? Are you talking about the Pundit who said this? What about the other 8 pundits who backed this up?
Also, even if he isnt the avatar, the Prophet PBUH has been mentioned in all major religions...in all major religious texts...theres no doubt that He is the Messenger of God; i think Hindus should also look into this

"Allah" in Rigveda Book 2 Hymn I verse II.

Even in the Rigveda which is the most sacred scripture of the Hindus, one of the attributes given to God Almighty in Book no 2 Hymn no I verse II, is ‘Ila’ which if pronounced properly is the same as "Allah."

Without detracting from the Holy Koran and Prophet Mohammed, this appears to be a misinformed concoction, with due reference from the Srimad Bhagavatam Purana, Kalki, who is the tenth incarnation from the Vishnu Tattva will manifest at the end of this age or Yuga, which lasts for 432,000 years, of which 5,000 years only have passed, starting when Krishna left the planet after establishing the Bhagavad Gita as authorised scripture and himself as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, because the message of the Gita had been adulterated. The Kali yuga is the most degraded age and that degradation will increase to a point where there will be no spirituality left, at that time there is a minor dissolution, initiated by Kalki, who is fully empowered by his own potency to cleanse the planet, so as the Satya yuga or golden age can once again begin.

Aaliyah, the pundits that you quote are not acquanted with the accepted revealed Vedic text, Srimad Bhagavatam, twelth canto, Chapter two, verses 17 to 24, which clearly states that The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krsna, will appear at the end of the Kali Yuga, which is the current age, in the village Sambhala, in the home of the exalted brahmana Brhaspati and will take the name Kalki. He will mount his horse Devadatta to perform the cleansing process. To gain further information and discussion, could I suggest that you visit your nearest ISKCON temple, (The International society for Krishna Consciousness), where you can purchase one copy of this canto, to understand further and discuss these points with the senior devotee's there.

Hi and welcome. I'm 34 years old male Turkish Muslim. I only have general opinion about religions:I am not an author, and don't want to be mistaken. As an answer, particular indications of common points in different religions and Holy Books are not so important . It is quite obvious and not signs but the whole covering feeling is better to be understood by all. We need it (I think so).

Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. : Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) also quoted: "The Mu'min is never satisfied of hearing good talk and advices, until he eventually enters Jannah." : Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) stated: "Constantly listening eagerly to good talks becomes the cause of good deeds which in turn causes entry into Jannah." : Also another wise quoted advice from Hadhrat Luqman (alaihis salaam): "Sit excessively in the company of the Ulama and learned pious person, and listen attentively to the preaching of the people of wisdom. For it is through the Noor of wisdom that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala causes dead hearts to become alive like a barren land which becomes green after torrential rains." A far as I've ever seen, the Hindu religion historically has accepted other religions' God's and prohets as opposed to villify them like most other religions do.
