Alrighty I'm going to be going to 9 th grade next year.I'm going from being homschooled to going to Public School.
The school is big(1200 students) I was wondering if any of you had some good school related advice for me?

I guess just relax and do your best with schoolwork. Join some clubs or something, and when homeschooling comes up (as it invariably will for the homeschooled kid) act laid-back about it.

"So, you were homeschooled?" "Yeah." "What was that like?" "It was pretty cool," et cetera. Too many kids launch in to their life history at that point, which, to be brutally honest, most people won't give a crap about until you're really their friend.

I went through the same thing three years ago. I went from being home schooled to going to the 9t grade in high school. I was worried at first too, it's only natural. But the best advice I've accumulated after three years of high school is
1. Be yourself
2. No matter what you will find friends
3. Study hard it pays in the end
4. Be prepared for anything!
5. Don't do anything stupid
6. Never do anything bad just because your friends want you to
7. Most important, choose your friends wisely!
8. By your sophomore year, you'll see that freshman year was the easiest of all!

Hope you have a GREAT freshman year! (lol, don't worry you will)

I have eight advises for you:

1-Don't try to seem or look like being social and extrovert. Be yourself and the others will notice you.
2-Never quarrel with other girls and never get jealousy and competition between you and the other girls force you to get into trouble and make you hated by most people.
3-Be helpful and always show your true desire to cooperate.
4-Participate in as many social activities and events as possible. This can help you gain popularity.
5-Don't try to be so showy or to dress in a certain manner so as to attract the guys' attention. This makes one look silly.
6-Try to find a good companion or colleague from the first day. Being alone most of the time during the first weeks of the educational year can give people bad impressions about you.
7-Try to get good grades all the time. People often not only get attracted to excellent students, but also tend to respect them and never cause troubles for them.
8-Always remember that what you're gonna get into isn't something so difficult or complicated. Getting quickly socially integrated is something done everyday by thousands of people.

Alright dear?

Don't let them sell you tickets on the elevator, or the special key to the freshman bathroom! Use your common sense, and remember who you are. Don't let them convince you that you weird. Everybody is different, and the popular kids are usually not the type of people you really want to know. Don't do things just to fit in, and don't hang around with the kids that do, you are your own person. If you just do what you think is right, and treat people like you want to be treated, I promise that kids will start wanting to be around you. With the really popular kids, the thing is that the people around them are usually there because they are afraid of how they will be treated if they are not! Think for yourself, and work hard, and it will all be fine!

Well look on the bright side at least your school doesn't have 3000 kids. The best thing to do is make 2 good friends so if you need help just ask them.
