So you think you will win in Iraq...Right?

This is something I've pointed out in other postings, both in regard to Iraq, terrorist and our country. You might think we are winning the battle with terrorists, but their time table is differant from ours.
They couldn't care less if they bomb something here in the states this year, or next, or the year after. We may control the power card, but they control the timing card. In order for us to stop them, we must be right, 100% of the time. They only need be right, one out of one hundred times, and we will suffer.......

You got it backwards. Look at Zirquati - he had to be both right and lucky every time and we only need to be right (or lucky) once.

In fact this is a big advantage we have is that we can make mistakes and still come back to fight the next day. They make one mistake and we take out their entire cell.

What makes your ignorance even more amusing is that you have obviously missed the fact that we are using techniques taught to us by police departments in the field of 'criminal intelligence' to fight the insurgents.

It turns out that investigating them using the same techniques we use for serial killers and organized crime is steadily dismantling the enemy organizations.

BTW - since you obviously are unaware of the news - are you aware that the Sunni leadership are publicly stating that they want us to stay?

You're right. The middle east terrorists are a patient bunch. But the situation in Iraq is forcing their hand. They can't sit by and do nothing, then they would be hypocrites and betray their own cause. At the same time, it's not in their best interest to attack military targets as opposed to civilian ones. With all their resources focused on Iraq and Afghanistan, the pressure on American borders is greatly reduced. The war on terror really is being fought in Iraq.

All the US needs to do is to say that if there is a terror attack in the US that is attributable to an Iraqi group, then a 100 megaton bomb will be dropped on Baghdad, and then actually do it. Then after Baghdad is a smoking sea of glass say that if there is another terror attack in the US that is attributable to an Iraqi group, then a 100 megaton bomb will be dropped on a place like Basra, and then do it. After a while the terrorists will realize that every time they launch a terror attack in the US one of their cities disappears entirely. Should be effective I think.

You think they do not suffer as the bombs come & the shooting happen. If the new Democratic goverment can take complete control, we are free to come home

Yes, they can bomb us, but only if we are lax with immigration. They have to get into country. By closing the Canadian & Mexican borders, & stronger security at airports can lessen the chance of bombings.

It does not matter how often you mention it on postings, it does not make it true.

We win in Iraq when the Iraqis stand up on their own and say to themselves "this is our country and we are proud of it and will defend it to the death". Then we will leave or stay at their request alone. The terrorists (or if you prefer insurgents) are losing more ground every day which is why they are targeting Iraqi civilians and not US/coalition troops as often.

So we should do what? Let them in and get it over with tomorrow?

Or continue to fight to minimize their effect?

I vote for the latter!
