Seems pretty mean.

Ok, it seems most people are saying because Satan wont be the bigger man and just ask for forgiveness, he likes hell, and God is too petty to forgive him unless he asks.

So what else is new. The Christian version of God has been throwing HUMAN BEINGS in hell as long as the Bible has been around. Why should Satan be any differant.

Satan isnt a human he's an Angel (fallen) so I figure, God's forgiveness is specially toward man and not angels? Satan may have been a human before, who already was forguiven and thus became an angel, but THEN betrayed God, which is probably what God found unforgiveable -- but I don't know, since that isn't written anywhere as some sort of a standard or law... like a misuse of GHod's forgiveness- what alternatives could you really have then, if you dont want to be forgiven and accepted as a perfect angel? What more can God do for you at that point? He can;t just forgive you again and make a fool of Himself, or forgive you into some higher status above angel... Maybe God's love for mankind is THAT great that because Satan is after man, he won't forgive him....
Should you really be rewarded for so much wrong-doing? Has Satan ever asked? We don't know... but by the looks of it it seems that Satan is still working overtime against God, so... probably not.
Now THERES a question: What if Staan suddenly asked for forgivess and stopped working? Then what ;) ?
I dunno ask God! :)

Because Satan doesn't exist. God has no use for Satan to exist, as he only brings pain and suffering to humans. God hates Satan with a passion. Since God is all-powerful, he would not let Satan exist in the first place. Don't buy into all of this "Satan hasn't asked for forgiveness yet" crap. Who do these people think they are giving answers like that? Think deeper into the problem and you'll find that Satan is a metaphor that represents human temptation.

Who ever said that God didn't forgive Satan?

While it is true that Satan has and never will ask, God doesn't need Satan's permission to grant forgiveness.

Frankly, I think this question and it's subsequent answer is too complicated for our mortal minds to comprehend - which is why no one really knows the real answer here on earth. Best to wait to get to the other side for questions of this nature :)

Since Satan is still around doing his thing, it stands to reason that God has "forgiven" him, but not necessarily reformed him. Forgiveness doesn't imply that the person has changed their ways, merely that you have changed how you feel about them. It's true that Satan's continual "existence" (if in fact he does really exist) seems contradictory with the concept of a forgiving god from man's perspective, but then again, God's still holding out forgiveness for us individually regardless of Satan, so we don't have much to worry about, I think.

The Russians do have a story about God forgiving Satan.

Because Satan is an Angel. God created people with a free-will, and therefore there is an option for us not to choose God and sin. That is why God sent his Son Jesus in human form so that humans sins can be forgiven. Angels are a different story. They are meant to glorify God in a different way.

Also, do you think Satan has asked for forgiveness? I doubt it for some reason.

God's infinite forgiveness redeems man from destruction (complete separation from God) i.e. Hell. God condemns no one to hell, we condemn ourselves in this life by choosing the path of darkness over the path of light -- the Gospel. God has given us freewill as a very precious and special gift, He'll never force us to do anything, but He always extends His saving grace to all who are willing to cooperate. There is no redemption for the angels, God has graciously offered this gift to man alone. Though He may forgive Satan, Satan has already definitively chosen his own path.

there are accusing angels refered as a satan-
all of which God created to give humankind free will
i dont think that God needs to forgive satan
jews believe that God will do away with satan at the end of days
no judgment no forgiveness required
He'll just shut the whole evil thingy off!

God IS forgiving. Satan is jealous of God, though, so all Satan has for God is hatred. Satan isn't looking for forgiveness and never will.
