Their fruit and veg are absolute crap, but their own brand tinned soup is great. Other ownbrand foods are very iffy. I buy there because of their not animal testing on most household cleaners and not testing on toiletries of their own brand, plus they wont allow foxhunting on their lands. As a supermarket, they are really lousy. And dearer than Tesco; trouble is, I dont have a car and cant get to Tesco so am a captive customer---theres no-where else to go!!

I love the co-op! It is an ethical supermarket, so although it is more expensive than other supermarkets, they do not resort to exploiting the producers in order to undercut competitors! Tesco (boo hiss) are notorious for this!
