In one sense of the word you are right but in another you are wrong.
As a Christian Pastor I know the you are referring to the Trinity; in which we find God, the Father, Jesus and the Holy Ghost as being three manifestations of the same God.
However to those less familiar with the concept of the Trinity you are denying the Father when you say Jesus is God.

I'll expand on your question... Why do most Christians not understand that they are God too? Jesus understood it... so have others. If you want to see the face of God, look at everything you can see... imagine everything you can imagine... smell everything you can smell... listen to everything you can hear... touch everything you can touch... and mostly Love Every Thing. Sum these up, multiply by infinity, then Love Every Thing Again.
If you choose to deny yourself, you deny God. If you choose to be bitter toward your neighbor... you're being bitter toward God. If you think you're not good enough to be a part of God... You're underestimating God. Is that something you really want to do? -- There is, literally, NO THING which is not (at least) an aspect of God. That might seem like a big thing for you to consider... but if you spend some time on it you'll come to understand just how encouraging It/God is. Whatever it takes to get you there... get there, with all haste.

The council of Nicaea decided the matter in 325 AD. This council adopted the Niacene Creed. This creed is accepted by mainstream christians of all denominations. This creed states God the Father and God the Son are of the same substance (ousias). God from God, light from light, true God from true God. Jesus said I and the Father are One. The Apostle John states Jesus was in the world and the world was made by Him but the world knew Him not.

Jesus is not God. He is the son of God part of the God head Divine Trinity. There Is God the fsther - to be worshipped and praised, Jesus Christ the son of God - the way to God, and the Holy Spirit. Like in Genesis it says let us make man in OUR image.

Different Christian religions have different views on this. Some believe Jesus is God, some believe he is God's son. Each side will throw out different Bible versus to support their side. I say why does it really matter? The point is that we are supposed to follow Jesus Christ teachings. I dont think he would go around judging people for their beliefs on this. I also think for those who like to go around telling people they are not true Christians should stop doing that because it is not up to you to judge. Only God will determine who the true Christians are.

It's hard for some people to comprehend, but I like the way my husband once explained it to our son. He said son, do you see this apple pie, I have one whole apple pie but if I cut it into 3 pieces then I have 3 pieces of pie but would need them all to make 1 pie. God is like that, you have the Father, the Son and the Hold Ghost, they are 3 seperate beings, but you need all 3 of them together to have 1 God. God bless you.

You can believe in Christ, that He is the Annointed, that He died for our Sins, that He rose to conquer death, that he performed the atonement without believing that Jesus is God.
Some of us believe that Jesus is a god, but that THE God is God the Father, the spiritual and physical father of Jesus. Some of us believe that they are physically separate beings, although united in their purpose.
I think that some people whose religion teaches something other than what they personally believe, choose to believe their hearts and not the doctrines of men. That is their choice.
And some people align themselves to a certain religion because it is part of their culture, not what they actually believe.

Jesus is Gods son and he is the human form of God. He will also be at the right side of God in Heaven. Jesus prayed to God, how would he pray to himself for answers?

It is the trinity. God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. They all come from God. For example, it's like a piece of ice, when split into three, you have three different pieces that come from the one.
