Try using a more literal version next time.

"I, the LORD, have spoken; it is coming and I will act I will not relent, and I will not pity and I will not be sorry; according to your ways and according to your deeds I will judge you," declares the Lord GOD.'" (Ezekiel 24:14)

"When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way, then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. And He did not do it." (Jonah 3:10)

...and apparently the person below me thinks that either Ezekiel or Jonah are in the NT...and in response to that post "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. " (Hebrews 13:8) The Old Testament has not passed away. Paul in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (" All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.") was in fact referring to the Old Testament. The "New Testament" didn't exist back then!

In Christian faith, when Jesus came, a new era was born. That's why so many churches don't use the Old Testament. The New was wrought and so the Old had Passed away, to paraphrase.
IMHO, you really need to read the Old to place the New in its proper context., but that doesn't mean you can compare the two, except academically speaking.

Two different situations. In Ezekiel, the people refused to listen, so they were punished. In Jonah, they repented and changed their ways, so he did not punish them. Two different responses to his warning.

God doesn't sin so He doesn' have to repent. Men sin and have to repent of their sins and ask Jesus Christ to save them from their sins. Have you ever done that?
