Okay, so I met my girlfriend while I was in Europe. She lives there now, and we ultimately want to live in the U.S. where I live. Problem is the only way she can become a citizen is if I marry her. I know you can come here via education or work, but what if she doesn't qualify for this? Is there another way she can become a citizen, because this 1k+ tickets for trips is getting expensive, and the most she can stay here for is 3 months. Anyone know any info that will help out our situation? Thanks =)

Your girlfriend cannot just apply for US citizenship. I can't imagine where other anwserers get the idea that this is possible. And she can't become a citizen if you marry her. First she is an immigrant, then a permanent resident (green card) then years later can apply for citizenship.

Here are all the US immigrant visa categories:

She could work for the embassy of her native country in the US. but that's probably a long shot... if she works for a company that is multinational then there are options there... otherwise, ai'm guessin marriage is the simplist solution.

yeah, just apply for citizenship. have her hit up the US Embassy in her country to get the ball rolling.
