Well, it really depends. I tried it once, it was very bloody, didn't work, scared the hell out of my girlfriend, and got me evicted from my apartment. Also, try explaining to everyone you know that the six 5-inch scars running up your arms are from a tomato-slicing accident. The police can actually arrest you for an attempt. In effect, it really just made things a whole lot worse.
I am not by any means encouraging anyone to inflict bodily harm upon themselves. However, if you ARE going to do it, and there's nothing anyone can say to stop you, do it right the first time, and get a .357 Magnum. Because if you think you're miserable now, and you try and fail to kill yourself, you'll wish you were dead (Again, but more so...?). Good luck.

P.S. - There IS a national suicide prevention hot-line, look it up. I hear they're good. And remember this (Assuming you live in the U.S.....) Even if you are a homeless person on the street in this country, you are still afforded more opportunity than 99% of the rest of the world. I know how you feel, but, really, it ain't all that bad.

Stupid is not a reason to die. Besides when you die is not your choice, much like when you were born and who you were born to(family.) Change your life, don't give up and take the easy out. Prove yourself as a person and make your life better a little everyday.
It's up to you what you decide, but I can promise you it'll change in time. Whether it is to your liking or continues to be stupid is up to you and you alone have the power to control it. Keep your power, don't give it away. Nurture it and let it grow. You have the potential to do anything you put your mind to. And even "stupid" stuff can be fun if you look at it that way.
Believe in yourself and don't let anyone or anything put you down. Nothing can stop you when you truly believe in yourself.

It's never a good idea to die.

If you think about it logically, most people live to be about 70. (I think). You will grow, change, do a thousand different things, and it's theoretically impossible to stay in your current state that entire time. Realistically, in six months, in a minute, in a day, you will be different. You can't be unhappy or have a shitty life that whole time. You just can't. The odds are against it. Sooner or later, you'll be happy again, and your life will change. Or you will decide to change it. When things suck, hang on for the better times to come, and trust me, it's literally impossible that they will never come. We aren't static, and bad times do not last forever. They come in seasons, and pretty soon, your season will change.

It can't hurt if you try to change it. In fact, you really should. Why not talk to someone? Psychologists are awesome. If you can't afford one, try a school counselor, or a charity hospital. School counselors are bound by law to keep secret what you say (unless you're thinking about killing people), so that might be a good option.

Don't forget, if you hate your life, just change it. You can. Even if it's not by much, you can do it incrementally.

life may seem intolerable at times, but these things will make you a stronger person when you live thru them. The American Indians believe that when you take your own life- you go somewhere you are not invited. Things could be worse than they are now. There are several people who want to help. Catholic Charities(you don't have to be catholic)they help based on how much money you make. I only paid $5 an hour and had a really excellent therapist. Trust me, I didn't want to talk to anyone either, but the therapist was so great that he helped me see what I can truly do with my life and enjoy it. There are so many things. What do you love to do. Focus on that. Its a shame to throw your life away. We are here to learn and to love. Everything else is crap. Take care, email me if you want to talk. I care. Also, you should know that suicide really hurts the ones who love you. Don't do that to your family.

I'm so glad that you posted this question because it shows that you really want to reach out and find some help with how your coping with your life. Please know that you life is precious and nothing is worth ending it. You are in pain and thats the first step in finding relief. Please pick up the phone and call someone you may trust to talk things over. If this is not possible, please call your doctor or religious person for some guidance. If this is not possible and the feelings your having do not go away or intensify, go to your local emergency room for some help. Good luck in your journey towards your healing!

Be assured, your life isn't as crap as mine! There's always someone who likes you - a friend in need is a friend indeed. I have to force myself to remember this.

Your life isn't stupid, be proud of what you do and who you are, even if it differs from the masses. We are all unique (doing something you love doing helps, I go extreme mountain-biking, just find a steep hill and go down it as fast as is possible. Its a great release from the stresses of life, and you can do it alone if you don't wnat any company!)

I hope I haven't missed your point entirely here and answered somebody elses question.

of course not. I don't think any life could be considered a stupid one. There's so much to look forward to in the future. Yes things get really hard sometimes, but you have to make yourself see the silver lining. See the light beyong the problems and you'll be ok. It takes time sometimes. If you want, please feel free to contact me at any time. I know you don't know me but it might be nice to have someone to talk to and I'm a pretty good listener.

No because you have a right to be stupid if that's what you are.
Just be yourself & keep on living.
There are more stupid people in this world than just you.....
By some of the answers on this site, I guess we all are stupid if you ask the right question to the wrong person.
People are MEAN
