I'm afraid that if I ask my friend out, that if we ever break up, that things wont be the same, and i love it when we're hanging out together, i just want to know him outside that. What do I do??????

I've been there. My best guy friend for like 13 years and I decided to give it a try and things didn't work out because he couldn't stop cheating. We broke it off and I didn't speak to him for a while and then finally just forgave him, but I didn't take him back. We have become friends again, though not as close as we once we but only due to his new wife who I fixed him up with and she doesn't like that we were still friends.

if he feels the same as you do then go for it, you will regret not trying if he falls for someone while you worry about trivial friend problems when you should be worrying about your love life!
