I am going into my senior year in high school and I'm trying to decide what math class I should take. I am considering a career in computer programming and I think the class that I take should be as closely related to this as possible. Does anyone know what I should take?

I have taken Algebra 1 and 2 as well as Geometry.

It all depends on what your preparation is. Presumably by your senior year in high school you might be ready for calculus. If so, go for it, though it is pretty useless for most programming. The truth is that unless you go into some unusual very mathematical branch of programming, all math except algebra is pretty useless.

Difficult to answer without knowing the math classes you have completed as an underclassman.

Assuming you have taken a basic math and algebra, geometry, and trig course(s) already, I would recommend a "statistics" course. It may be titled in various ways, e.g.; quantatative analysis, business statistics, etc.

Beginning Calculus also may be a good option. Good luck!!
