Large quantities of it won't do him any good, but if it's just chewing, try getting him a chewable toy--much better for his teeth, and his psyche. Cow hoofs are good, and not too expensive.

My Sister gives her three dogs every cardboard box that ever comes out of the kitchen pantry. They are covered in dyes, waxes, adhesives and toxins. I try and try to get her to stop. Believe it or not she is a relatively intelligent individual and I don't quite understand why she continues to carry on with this idiotic behavior. I guess the moral of this is that you must first train the human before the human is capable of training the dog. Does anyone have any common sense anymore. You sit down and eat an empty Ritz Cracker box and lets see how you feel. If you still feel ok try eating one everyday for the next year and I bet the outcome is different.

Chewing on a small amount of the box itself shouldn't hurt his stomach. This is typically a sign of boredom and/or teething. Either of these can be helped by increasing the amount of pet approved toys made for chewing. However, do check to see if the box is treated with a wax, labels, contained toxic products or appears to have been exposed to unknown elements outside. All being things your dog should not be exposed to. Check for signs of excessive drinking, loose stools, or vomiting then promptly call and or head for the vet for instructions.

cardboard is made out of wood, and dogs chew wood all the time. I used to have a dog that did that, and he has not had any problems. buy you should give him a dog bone , one of the big ones and a raw hide bone.

Yes, if he eats enough of it. if it's just a littl epiece it should digest fine without much harm being done to your dog. Just to be safe bring him to the vet and have his stomach checked out/pumped.
