rinsing it with cool water for 15-30 minutes should ease the pain. How bad is the burn, is the skin broken? Don't use ice or ice water as it can cause tissue damage. Apply an antibiotic ointment such as Polysporin after cleansing the burn with soap and water. If the skin is open, apply a bandage, if it is not no bandage is needed. I did the same thing when I was little when my leg accidently brushed up against my father's motorcycle exhaust pipe.

ICE!!! If it's too tender to touch, have her lie on the bed or sofa. Set up a fan with a bowl of ice in front of it and let the breeze blow the cold air across her leg. If she can stand a cold damp rag over it let the breeze blow over that. The main thing is to take the heat out as much as possible. If the skin is broken or blistered badly, call the doctor or go to the ER. Burns get infected real easily.
Good luck and God Bless!

First apply ice. Then apply aloe. If blisters occur, call your doctor. The risk for infection for a second degree burn is very high and your daughter should be seen. Good luck. P.S. after you apply the ice and aloe you can apply ice cold wash cloths to the burned area. I also keep aloe in the refrigerator.

Run it under some cold water to take the sting away. If you have aloe-vera, put that on after the fact to help with soothing the pain.

You can put vinegar or mustard on it to take the pain out. I would not recommend ice as it is only temporary for a pain reliever and as soon as you take ice off it will start burning again. So it mainly prolongs it.

aloe vera, ice pack, burn gel (try Wal Mart)
If it looks real bad take her to ER or Fam. Doc. Had a friend do that, she had 3rd degree burns.
