I cramped in the beginning with my first child and more so with this second baby. You are not alone! Don't forget, you can still ovulate when you are pregnant even though you don't bleed. Pay attention and see if the cramps are more to the sides of your body near your hip bones. If they are mild and located there, you are ok. (But I am NOT a doctor.) If you don't have bleeding and you are having mild ones, it could be scar tissue or anything. Mine were worse because I have a backwards uterus which is about as common as being left handed. Don't worry yourself too much over it, stress is worse for the baby than the cramping! Make sure you don't take anything for it such as medicine or a heating pad/ice pack. None of these things are good for the baby. If it's bad enough you want any of those things, then go to the doctor.

I am 4 1/2 weeks pregnant and I do get some light cramping. This is because the uterus is growing. Not everyone may feel cramping during the first part of pregnancy but some do.

I am 7 weeks pregnant, and I get horrible cramps. I went to see a doctor because I was concerned there was something wrong. He said having very painful cramps all the time isn't normal. In my case, it's because I have scar tissue in my abdomen left over from a surgery that's being stretched out. But I would go see a doctor. That'll set your mind at ease.

Yes you can get light cramps at the beginning of pregnancy...if they are very severe you might wanna see a doctor though...heavy cramping means the uterus is contracting and could cause a miscarriage

yes, almost everyone because normally your uterus is in a backward position and when you become pregnant your uterus flips forward so your baby grows out not in.

This causes your round ligaments to stretch and change positions and this is a little painful.

However, severe cramps or cramps accompanied by bleeding is never normal so see your doctor asap!

Best of luck

Dear Jennika,

My wife certainly did - if you're concerned, see a doc, but I think some cramps are normal.

Sure do, it feels like your period is going to start, except nothing ever comes down.
