Since all religions are man made and none were started by Jesus, why do Christians follow the ideology of men rather than the Holy Spirit.

One of the strangest questions asked is, "What faith are you?", what other faith is there is except faith in Christ, but Christians think that the religion is the faith and it's not, for the most part, religion is a cancer on the faith.

Following tradition is a natural way of going with the flow sometimes, following Christ is going against the flow

People tend to follow traditions, which is sometimes good and sometims bad

alot of people are not familiar with the scriptures and they can't distinguish the differnce of being a cultural christian and an actual Christ follower

you really need God to work in your life to be a Christ follower, to pour out his lov ein your heart, to give you a love for truth and the grace to glorify God leaning on the work of Chirst on the cross

They do not like the fact that Jesus was poor and spoke against "stonecutting", or Freemasonry, and related practices (including money changing) in the temple or synagogue. It seems to present a threat to the value system of people in an upwardly mobile, materialistic world. It is thus easier for them to be loyal to an organization rather than the body of belief the religion originally was founded upon. The same reason could pertain to Islam. Many modern day churches seem to be "stonecutting". They seem to be sublimating the idea of theft on the System and referring to it as making a "sacrifice" rather than as robbing someone.

Furthermore, I suspect that it might be the religious organizations themselves that often are responsible for giving members their "benefits" from the System in general. You can see why they would be loyal to the organization.

Because no one cares about Jesus anymore. They've Forgotten.

Everyone has forgotten what Jesus really stood for or what he believed in. People follow religion for reasons no longer associated with what Jesus taught. And Christians hardly have the right to call themselves such.

Being a Christian is "socially acceptable" and socially encouraged. It's what people grow up with and don't know anything else. People fear "Hell" so they seek to keep right with "Christianity" (rather than keeping right with Christ). "Christianity" has become to political to really have anything to do with Jesus anymore. Rome saw to that.

And furthermore, the "religion" that is claimed to be of Jesus, has become so warped, I'm sure if the man truely can see the hearts of all of us today, he's horribly discusted with what people have done in his name, and in the name of "His Father".

I think you need to rephrase this question. As is, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

For the same reason Muslims follow religion instead of Mohammed? Or Jews follow religion instead of Abraham? How about Buddhist following religion instead of Buddha?

i think of you want the two a communal and private dating with Jesus however the non-public dating in Jesus takes priority. It replace into estabished before that the communal form of worship replace right into a norm for the early Christians which you would be able to persist with faith for some is following Christ. yet i understand many others who did no longer have an prepared faith yet examine the Bible and had a private dating with Jesus. i think there are some who persist with Jesus with the aid of following him with the aid of the two super commandments (which i think stands out as the degree of which we are able to be choose interior the specific or very own judgment , the extra significant judgment). i think of the semina verbe or seeds of the be conscious are in all hearts in some form or yet another and following interior the footsteps of Jesus.

why do some christians redefine reality to fit their simple minds?

Look up the definition of religion in a reliable English dictionary and quit playing word games to make yourself feel superior to those you look down upon.

I don't follow my religion, my pastor isn't going to get me into Heaven. I follow God. But my religion helps me with my walk with God and keeps me on the right track.

True Christians don't. Religion is doing, doing, doing, Christianity says, it is done.

I think you pinned it right there: religion instead of Jesus. IMO if Jesus was alive today, they'd reject him.
