I have been wearing contacts for the past 15 years with no problems. A couple months ago, my prescription got worse and I got new contacts. One week later, I no longer was able to wear my contacts. NOT because they were physically uncomfortable, but because they were visually uncomfortable. The way I can describe is like looking through some really strong glasses. They put me back on my regular/old prescription, with no luck...I still had the "weird vision". This all happen within ONE week! Now, 2 months later, I'm wearing my contacts and am still unable to wear contacts. I've been to 4 eye doctors and they ALL can't figure out why.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Anyoen know a GREAT eye doctor who might be able to help me.

ANY help would be great.

You didn't really say if you can see out of your glasses - is it just your contact lenses causing blurry vision?
I wouldn't recommend getting anything permanent like surgery until you maybe know a little more about what is causing your problem.
Without being able to look at test results and examination data it's hard to even begin to conjure up a guess as to your problem. My only suggestion would be to look up the optometry schools (16 in the lower 48) and see if one happens to be close enough to you to schedule an appointment. They usually have discounted exams since they are learning institutions but it also provides you with a plethora of doctors to try to figure out your problem. Good luck!

Yes, I'm nearsighted. I was always able to wear contacts as well until somehow my vision became horrible, I didn't know if it was because I was getting older or because of the solution. The only eye that turns really red and uncomfortable is the right eye. But both eyes while wearing contacts get blurry and I have to put either eye drops or blink continuously. At night I also see halos while wearing contacts, So I got pissed off and decided to get Lasik Eye Surgery, Did you decide that too?

Do you have any other medical problem such as high blood pressure or diabetes that could be effecting your eye vision. You may want to have that checked. Secondly has any one of your doctors discussed corrective eye surgery? I know many people that have had this procedure done and they no longer use glasses or contacts. Check into it.

Sometimes new contacts will change the shape of your eyeball (honest). Everything starts to look stretched and weird. I had to stop wearing contacts.

It could be allegies....or alot of times there's a bateria that can grow on you contacts. You could have some sort of eye infection.

Ask your doctor's to check for bacterial infection.
