Oreo Truffles
These are so easy to make and so easy to eat! Cookies and Cream in truffle form. Divine!
1 lb Oreo cookies (3 sleeves)
8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1 lb milk chocolate
1/2 lb white chocolate
40 truffles
1. Using a food processor, grind cookies to a fine powder.
2. With a mixer, blend cookie powder and cream cheese until thoroughly mixed (there should be no white traces of cream cheese).
3. Roll into small balls and place on wax-lined cookie sheet.
4. Refrigerate for 45 minutes.
5. Line two cookie sheets with wax paper.
6. In double-boiler, melt milk chocolate.
7. Dip balls and coat thoroughly.
8. With slotted spoon, lift balls out of chocolate and let excess chocolate drip off.
9. Place on wax-paper-lined cookie sheet.
10. In separate double boiler, melt white chocolate.
11. Using a fork, drizzle white chocolate over balls.
12. Let cool.
13. Store in airtight container, in refrigerator.

Cookies made from box cake mix:
Combine 1 package boxed cake mix, 1 egg, 1/2 cup oil, 2 tbsp water. Drop by rounded spoonful on cookie sheet and bake on 350 for 8 minutes.
These are very easy to make and you can be as creative as you want with the flavors! Chocolate Chip: use yellow cake mix and add chips to the recipe. Use strawberry cake mix and top with strawberry icing. Do the same with lemon cake mix and lemon icing. Make German Chocolate cookies. Try Red Velvet cake mix with cream cheese icing. The possibilites are endless!

Peanut Butter Blossoms
1 3/4 cup of flour
1teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup of shortening
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons of milk
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 whole egg
chocolate kisses
mix in large bowl all the above ingredients but the chocolate kisses
make dough into balls
roll the dough balls in sugar. bake at 375
for about 10- to 12 minutes
when done bring them out of the oven and place the cocolate kiss on top
mmmmmmmmmmmm are they good

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup butter
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
2/3 cup white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 tablespoons butter

DIRECTIONS:
In a medium bowl, cream together butter and confectioners' sugar until light. Stir in the lemon peel, flour and salt. Cover bowl, and chill for about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Flatten teaspoons of dough onto cookie sheets, and bake for 5 to 8 minutes, until light brown. Remove from baking sheets to cool on racks.
To make the filling, combine the beaten egg, sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice and butter in the top of a double boiler. Stir until thick. Sandwich cookies with 1 teaspoon of filling.

BANANA - OATMEAL COOKIES
1 & 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup soft butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 & 1/2 cups raw quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
Sift flour with salt, soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, and egg with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy; beat in bananas and vanilla until smooth. Gradually stir in flour mixture and oats until well combined. Stir in walnuts, if desired. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Drop batter by rounded spoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden; remove to wire rack and cool completely. Makes about 3 & 1/2 dozen cookies.
