What do u think of Chihuahuas?

Chihuahua's that bark a lot, misbehave, nip, pee & poop on the floor & so on have not been trained properly as any other dog that does the same thing. Chihuahua's need to be socialized around kids & other animals (with proper supervision) while they are young. They need to be introduced to different environments & people so they are not nervous little wrecks. They also need to be potty trained & trained basic commands. Many people don't train their small dogs properly because they are easy to pick up but they need to be trained. You can have a wonderful pet if you train & socialize them. I have four chihuahua's & they are all wonderful little friendly dogs. Many people have commented on how my dogs don't shake like a lot of the chihuahua's they have met in the past or how friendly they are. Just remember you can't let them do what they want just because they are cute. When you don't train your dog your the one at fault when they misbehave. Research a breed before you get it. Read about them & get to know about the breed better & have an understanding on the requirements from breed to breed, like exercise, grooming & such. Don't just get a breed because they are cute or popular. Dogs are a lot of responsibility, it's a life time commitment & the little dogs have longer life spans then the bigger ones in most cases.

They are silly, timid, and bothersome. If you took all of the possible unattractive qualities of dogs and rolled them into a single breed, you have a Chihuahua. People who carry them around look vain and unintelligent.

I love the little critters myself. Some are good with other pets and kids, and some are not. It isn't *always* the training and socialization, but that certainly makes a huge difference! Sometimes the temperament is bad genetically, too. (One reason why you always want to meet the parents and ask a lot of questions, if at all possible.)

I think they are an adorable dog breed. I especially like the black & tan shorthaired chihuahua... they are sooo cute!!!

i love them..i have a male named Chico . i want to get a female...they r so sweet and friendly...they are awesome an breed of dogs!!!they are small but have the heart of a loin:)
