No candy.

Take her to a park, bring some snacks, a ball, and a few other reinforcements.

I said a park because there are usually other people there, such as other 5 years old, that can put her energy to use.

Like playing tag together.

Could show her how to "Pipeline" a Beer that usually slows them down some. OK, well it sounded good. ;-p
May try a small kiddie pool if there a place for it, I would place it in the shade and maybe where you can watch from in the house, or, just join in. Playing in the water can sometimes wear them down and they will nap a little afterward. I not know much other than just interacting with her and learning some crafts or games, but, that fall back to wearing you down!

Dress up! Have clothes, shoes and fake jewelry for 'fashion shows.' Karaoke to music she likes. Go to the library and pick out some books to read together. Is there an 'hands on' museum near you? Ride the bus on a loop and show her points of interest. I'm out of ideas. I don't have any kids myself, I hope these help!

My son is 4 and I have him help me with the chores..... though I try and make it sound a little more appealing than that..... you know, wash the car, gardening, etc. Or find some friends with little ones the same age and get together so the kids can play and you guys can hang out....
