i'm giving a once long-term relationship a second chance?

but an old flame keeps popping up. i can't figure out if if im still in love with the current ex and i just decided to give my long term relationship a second chance because things didn't work out with my ex or if i really want a second time around with my long term. what do you think?

Just think about both relationships.....Think about the reason your relationships ended and how they were when you were in them. Think about every detail and think about who you were happier with. That should give you the answer you're needing and searching for.

Long term relationships are incredibly tricky to maintain (as you probably already know). The fact that this ex of yours is even a temptation to you is a warning sign that your long-distance relationship isn't as strong or as healthy as it could be. You really shouldn't be in a fully committed relationship if you are still having strong feelings for your ex anyways, because it divides your heart and that is unfair to the person you are with. My recommendation would be to break off the long distance relationship (difficult though it may be) and pursue the ex and see what happens. If it doesn't work out, perhaps you will finally know he isn't right for you and move on for good so you can pusue a relationship with someone else more fully and openly.

Okay a bit confusing but here goes....You have to think of the pros and cons of the used to be long term realtionship, you can't fix the past. I don't beleive that you should get back into a unhealthy relationship...please look deep before you leap!

say that again. i say let them both go and start all over with someone new. why are you going backwards in life? try something new and fresh. they are ex'e for a reason. do you think they have changed? go forward and don't look back. sometimes a fresh start is good fro the heart. good luck
