Yes they are still Christians.
However some people do these things at church and at religious classes. They feel that all they have to do is show up. Unfortunately for them they are wrong. It would be better for them not to even come to church then be disrespectful.
However this is only a small bit of it. One of the biggest problems with some people that are church goers is that they go through motions without really going through the motions.
Example: prayer. Is is praying if all you are doing is reciting something. No it is not. Even if you use conventional prayers you must really focus on the words instead of reciting.
I don't remember where I found it but there was a beautifull example of this for the Our Father.
It starts of Our Father,
Yes
Who are you
You called me and now I am here
I never called you
Then what did you mean by Our father
This is not word for word, but I thing you get the gest of it.

"It is the condescending attitude of some Christians that saddens me the most. We are quick to point the finger at others when they make mistakes, but we seldom see our own glaring faults."
"We have no business worrying about the speck in our brother’s eye when we have a pole stuck in our own eye (Mt. 7:3-5). We are all vulnerable to spiritual and moral failure. Remember, King David (a man after God’s own heart) and King Solomon (the wisest man in the world) both suffered severe moral failure.
It is easy to miss the point Jesus was making when the woman caught in adultery was brought to Him (John 8:3-11). We tend to think Jesus was trying to put the Pharisees in their place. Actually, He was talking to all of us about our condescending attitudes."
"It is easy to come to the aid of a brother who realizes he needs help. It is much more difficult to come to the aid of a proud arrogant brother. Nevertheless, he still needs our help. Chances are he will not be open to any verbal help, so we must provide the needed support via fervent prayer."

thanks for the lesson in humility! i was about to quote matthew 18:15-18, but that applies more when the sin is directly harming you, not just when a person is sinning through exhibiting a non-christian characteristic.
all the above quotes are from the site listed below.
blessings and prayers upon you, sister.

I know one thing for sure, they are truely human. And the fact that they even go to church every sunday is a clear sign that at least they are pointed in the right direction.
and I for one will not pretend or lie about the fact that I get bored listening to the preacher sometimes.
but hey, no ones perfect.

No they are not Christians. Being a Christian doesn't start with going to church, it starts with going to Christ and letting Him into your heart. People like the ones you have spoken of are there for a social gathering, they are blind to the urgency of what the Lord died for. Ignore them and pray for them, be a light to them no matter what. If you let it anger you, you will be blinded by Satan through your own emotions.

Church is not a museum for saints, but a hospital for sinners...or, in this case, a school.
Have mercy on your fellow churchgoers, especially the young ones. Perhaps some lessons will sink in over time, in spite of themselves.

You are right in calling them a false christian. judge their fruits. Bottom line is this, are they practicing what they preach? If not, then you know.
Ask them, Are you a Christian?, When they say yes, say prove it!
By you actions the world will know.
True Christians are out here but they are not the ones you might think.

let us not judge unto others..We are hypocrites because WE are no better than THEY...read the parable of Jesus about the speck in the eye. We aren't perfect we all come short before the glory of God..let us pray instead of hate that we may all be faithful.

Sadly, a lot of people who call themselves Christians don't follow the teachings of Christ. It's the way the world is.

Most likely not... there are more who say they are than really are...many more
If you are... and you Know if you are... then follow God's leading in how to deal with this... Talk to the leadership of the congrigation ...after talking to God of course... befriend the offenders and gently.. and with love... lead them back
