You know, the kind that weren't funny at the time but make for a good story afterward.

This weekend my husband was a groomsman at a wedding 4 1/2 hours from where we live. Of course there was no time for him to try on the tux beforehhand, so he tried it on Friday night. Everything was fine except the tux place had given him 40" pants- he wears a 28"! We informed the mother of the groom, who said they would take care of everything and not to worry about it, they would find a solution. At midnight Friday she called our hotel room- their 'solution' was for us to wake up at 8 am, drive an hour to the nearest branch of the tux-rental chain, which opened at 10 am, then drive back and be at the church in time for pictures at noon! We did it (barely) but it wasnt funny then.

10 points to the weirdest true story!

At my wedding my husband and the grooms men were to come half way up the stairs and then my sons (ages 5-8) were to come up all the way and walk me down. When the boys came up it was the cue for the girls to go down and then me to go down too.

Well I did not know but my husband had left the marriage license at his friends house where he got ready. So when he came into the library we were getting married in mu sons started up the stairs. (too early) So my friends started down the stairs to the mid point where they were to meet the grooms men. Then I was about to start down and there was no groom. So I went back to my waiting place I was not about to walk down with out a groom. About 5 minutes later the guys all showed up.

When the ceremony was over instead of heading to the reception my son's were silly again and started out the front door.

Then at the reception when my husband and I were exchanging cake we did not have any of the face smearing stuff. Instead the cake went down my dress. everyone wanted pictures of me getting it out.

Later at the reception the boys were doing their own form of break dancing (in their tuxes) and knocked their heads on the tables.

I am a wedding photographer and this is the funniest thing I've seen all year... and it was even funny at the time!

The best man in this wedding was about 4 - 4 1/2 ft tall. Not exactly a midget, but close. So, the maid of honor decided she would CARRY him into the reception when everyone got introduced. She did and everyone thought it was great!! Then of course, every girl that danced with him wanted to pick him up. There are just some people that aren't strong enough. One girl went to go and pick him up and couldn't do it. She had him and then she lost her balance. She fell backwards, he fell on top of her, her legs went up in the air and he went almost over her head! Looking at the pictures, I had tears streaming down my face I was laughing so hard! If you want to see the whole thing, go to www.imaginephotography4u.com and go to the page called "Blink" and select the slide show.

This was funny at the time...!

In 1989 I attended the wedding of my sister's friend. My other sister had brought her newborn baby daughter in a carrier. When it came time for the bridal bouquet toss, the bouquet bounced off the hands off the single women...and landed plop on top of the baby carrier with the newborn baby girl in it!

My brother turned to us and said, "If that thing about the bridal bouquet is true...then there's no hope for you all!"
