Where does it talk about in the Bible, in the New Testament, about when someone goes to present alms at the altar before God, but realizes that they have offended one of their brethren. They are told to go and mend up that situation and apologize to that person, and then they can come back to the altar and give their alms. I'm trying to help someone to understand something, and I need this scripture to do that.

I cannot pin point the exact place, you might try corinthians, but I'm not sure, I'd almost have to say its in the New Testament, but It is in the Bible many times, we have to forgive others before God can forgive us, we are told to not dwell in something and to solve the conflict, because it will build up, and thus doing so create sin. Harboring anger is a sin.
