Who or what are Samael and Lilith, and what are their story separate and together?

According to Kabbalistic demonology Lilith was Adam's first created wife. She rejected him regarding her place in their relationship and fled away. She was unable to go back to Adam because the angel Samael had sexual relations with her after she fled. Samael later became the Archangel of Rome, and Lilith became a tormentor of newborn babies (mentioned in Isa 34:14).
