If you've already went through the whole process of getting a replacement green card, and it's already on its way, I think it would be better for you to stay where you're at until it arrives. Because if you move, especially to another state, there's going to be a whole bunch of confusion about your address and other contact information, and this could delay your green card even more.

If you haven't finished the whole process and your green card hasn't been sent, then I think it would be best for you to notify whoever it is that takes care of this matter, and let them know that you're planning on moving to another state. Most likely they'll tell you to move a.s.a.p. and when you get to the new state, you'll have to go to they're office closest to you in the new state and go through the whole process again because all your information has changed and needs to be updated in the new state.

Overall, I think it's best that you talk to the people who take of this matter and explain your situation to them, they'll give you the best advice. You don't want to take matters into your own hands and risk getting into trouble or making any mistakes that could be critical to you getting your green card.

Well, I would contact the immigration office and ask. I seriously don't think they will allow you to move though. :( They are very strict about that.

Good luck. You can also check out www.firstgov.gov and there's the link to the immigration and naturalization epartment there, and you can browse their site and see if you can find this answer. It's probably not on there though, so I would just call.

Submit the change of address form AR-11 using your lawyer's address. Then he can send the card on to you.

I wouldn't move to anywhere until I get my green card.

I thought green card has no expiration date.
