Actually you can if you are in a car long enough with the sun beating down on you. I once went on a road trip to Texas and when i got the my arm that had been in the sun was really red and kind of hurt...(i had been sleeping or would have moved). So i think you can get burnt through the glass

YES - but the windows block most of the UV light meaning it will take MUCH longer to burn....and therefore get a tan.
Tanning ONLY occurs as the bodies natural defense against excess UV light.

It's the UV rays that tan you, not the heat, the windows block the UV rays. So no, you can't get a tan through a window. Oh how i wish you could tho!

Yes uv rays get through everthing, its like when you shine the sun through a magnifying glass it sets the news paper alight, I got sunburn on my face coz the sun was shining through, its best to get a sunshade.

No. But you are going to get very hot with the windows up, unless you have aircon.

I'm pretty sure you can... even though the window can repel a lot of the UV rays
