It's not difficult to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy

The laws barely changed anything. I heard it only changed for 3% of people that file bankruptcy.

It's not that bad at all. Just be sure you want to do it that way as opposed to ANY other option. Bankruptcy is last resort!

My buddy is a BK attorney. He said the law now requires you to speak with a credit counselor before you can file. They cannot deny your bankrupcy, they are meant to try to help you think of alternatives. Basically, it hasn't affected much.
