What do you think is the most unattractive language?

I know some people who think that Dutch is very hard to listen to and Polish. I know that all languages have their own charm and that they open the door to the cultures they developed from. But honestly? I think that Chinese and most other asian languages are so hard to listen to that I can barely stand it! Are there any languages that you just dislike? I'm talking strictly languages here, I think that Chinese and asian cultures are very interesting, I just don't like the language.

Language is a means to communicate your needs, your ides, your thoughts, etc.

There can be no such thing as an unattractive language. Most of the people who have complained about Asian languages or Hindi or whatever are probably scared of the unknown and hence have expressed their aversion.

Imagine the poor Asian farmer, what must English or some of the Occidental languages sound like to him?

Humans tend to hate what is different or something that they don't understand.

A language (any language) can be a very useful tool.

I live in the northeast part of the United States and don't like "ebonics" or any "southern" variations. For no other reason than I just don't understand what is being said. I am linguistically gifted, meaning that I love words and languages. I can understand what someone from another country is trying to say much better than I can understand some Americans with English as a first language. Examples: Allen Iverson and Jeff Foxworthy. They can sound just as bad if they spoke Klingonese. As for other languages I think that Spanish is difficult to understand because of how quickly the words are spoken. My favorites are Italian, Russian, and French.

Im Cambodian I don't know if you ever heard the languauge being spoken but Im 22 years old and when me and my girls get together people mistakes us for being spanish and when we start speaking cambodian they are so amazed at how beautiful we sound. The older people tend to speak like they are yelling at each other but when the younger generations speaks it kinda rolls off from our tongue. it's just you gotta take the time to dig deep into the asian cultures and then you would probably like the sound of the asian language and remember there are different types of Asian in the world were not all the same

This is a very hard question to answer, because when you learn the language it becomes more attractive. I learned how to speak German and learned to appreciate the sound and nuances of the language. But from just the sound of the language I would say Russian is very abrasive, it sounds like they are always fighting with each other. Chinese is just to confusing. Japanese sounds like they are spitting at each other and Polish sounds like they are always make a SHH sound with every word they say. But I would say Russian.

The most unattractive language of all is none of them, I believe. I know that the most attractive language is French because it is the official language of France, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Haiti, and Canada. If I have my way, French will be the only language more worth learning than any other language on the face of the planet. A lot more attractive than Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Dutch, and even English!! "Parlez vous Francais?" is a French phrase which means "Do you speak French?".

I really don't like the sound of German. The worst sounding language I've ever heard though is a language spoken by some eskimos somewhere in Canada. I don't remember what that language is called though.

I understand that you dislike the asian language and not the culture but its offending to me that although you dont like our language you dont even think about our views on yours...since i am bilingual i think both languages are beautiful and i have grown to accept them

Hmong, or whatever the language itself is called ! It's horrible to listen to! It's the perfect example of the exaggerated accent when people imitate an Oriental speaker.

Sorry, my origin is spanish, Italian, german, and polish.
I'll have to agree with you Polish is really complex, as for dutch, I dislike it a lot ! Asian languages are okay, Japanese is the most normal language, and it's really cool.
Chinese creeps me out.

i don't like Hindi language, because when they talk they always talk with a sound like they are asking a question, even if it's not a question they are asking, plus it's fast like chinese. I don't know if you understand what i mean by that.. but that is why i find it annoying.
