Reconciliation in the New Testament?

what is the phrase in "Dead Man Walking" that Sister Helen says about reconciliation from the New Testament?

could you at least give decent answers that are revelant to the question!

i haven't seen the film but in the bible there are two linked ideas. firstly, when you trust in jesus your life changes. rather than being a sinful person you become a righteous person ( a person 'put right' with God.) This is dying to your old person and rising from death as a new person. When you have died and been raised to new life you are reconciled to God. You are also given a job to do, showing others the path of reconciliation. I don't know if this fits in with the film but it's what is meant in the bible passages below.
