Do you think people come here and seem like theyre evil or away from god and such, are really messing with you and explotiing your ignorance hoping one day you will stop being a slave to those who have the deeper pockets. Do you wonder why this could be amusing but still serious.?

Ok rephrased. Maybe some people really have done lots of research involivng all religious experiences and know you could possibly be a slave to some so-called spiritual leaders. Is it possible they are asking off the wall questions to see what level of ignorance you are on and maybe are devising a bigger plan to rid you of the ignorance but have no way of actually having an intellectual discussion with you?

Okay, I caught the first part of this question, but the whole money thing in the religious aspect of things threw me for a loop. Could you rephrase, please?

I think that some people definitely ask questions that are meant to gage your level of ignorance. Many questions (and answers) are meant to enlighten misinformed (non)believers, or at the very least to get them thinking. After all, it's hard to have a full-blown, serious intellectual discussion on Y!A. Still, I doubt many people believe they'll actually convince anyone. And of course a lot of other askers/answerers just like to push other people's buttons. They say certain things because they know it'll annoy someone else.

I believe we are all here to have fun. Some people take this to be a pulpit. I'm just trying to get a head scratch and a giggle.
